Our Story

How it All Began

The Village started as an idea to help women support women and evolved into creating a community for like-minded moms that is unapologetically honest, helping each other to adapt in the ever-evolving chapters of motherhood.

The Village evolved into a unique baby boutique, showcasing the incredible talent that we have in South Africa. Giving online brands a physical store to present their products in, so customers could touch and feel them, and buy from multiple retailers but avoid the multiple delivery charges.

How it's Going

As the cafe has closed, the store has evolved into a unique online store, helping customers to create gorgeous, unique baby registries from anywhere in South Africa, or spoil themselves with a few different brands at the same time. With our click and collect option, we are still able to help customers avoid hefty delivery fees and maintain quick and easy access to their favourite products.

Hi, I’m Lol!

Wife to Shaun and mom to our little embryo that could - Wren (age 2). I bought The Village from the amazing founder, Bron, who started The Village as a space for moms to connect and support each other through the journey of parenthood. When mine and Bron's paths crossed, I was a very lonely and very scared first time mom. The Village was my safe haven for exploring this new role!

I couldn't be more proud to build on the beautiful platform Bron created and can't wait to grow with our beautiful community. I am also honoured to bring the community a wide range of the most beautiful and high quality South African owned and operated brands - mostly owned and operated by parents themselves! I can't wait to explore my new role as a business owner in a space that holds such a special place in my heart, and take you all along for the ride too.
