The Village started as an idea to help women support women and evolved into creating a community for like-minded moms that is unapologetically honest, helping each other to adapt in the ever-evolving chapters of motherhood. I also wanted to create a unique baby boutique, showcasing the incredible talent that we have in South Africa. Giving online brands a physical store to present their products in, so customers could touch and feel them, and buy from multiple retailers but avoid the multiple delivery charges. This has now evolved into a unique online store as well, helping customers to create gorgeous, unique baby registries from anywhere in SA, or spoil themselves with a few different brands at the same time.

Everyone is welcome to pop in and play, but there are wonderful perks of membership at The Village. The idea of membership for the café is not to be ‘exclusive’, but rather that I wanted people to feel a part of a safe community, where they could create bonds and openly learn from each other. To realise you’re not alone in this journey of motherhood, and to feel the all embracing warmth as you walk through the doors and be part of something ‘inclusive’.
